Pheona is a seasoned professional having been in the learning and development field for over 35 years, mainly partnering with C-Suite and Senior Leaders. She is one of a handful of treble credentialed Master Coaches and typically spends her time working as a Thought Partner, Psychological Executive Coach, Organisational Development Specialist, Systemic Team Coach, Team Coaching Supervisor and Coach Supervisor. Yes - she is busy.

Pheona has a creative approach using different models, tools and techniques all with a pragmatic and practical psychological application. One of her many strengths is working systemically and she can often be found supporting clients to map out their systems. Pheona offers a unique service as a Thought Partner and has done so for the past 10 years, earning her the reputation of being one of the best in this niche. She has the reputation of being a trusted advisor and confidant for many of her anonymous clients. She is regularly recommended to other CEOs, MDs and Senior Leadership Teams seeking professional development. Working with Pheona means focusing on effective leadership, business and coaching techniques which enable clients to find out who they are and how they are. How does she do this? One approach is to create a ‘pause space’ with judgement suspended. Clients stop having to perform, stop trying to get it right and instead can speak in an unfiltered way as they work out what they think and what they want to do next, all without the need of having to carefully manage their ‘audience’. Once their whole system is aligned, they un-press pause and get back to being brilliant.

Pheona has an in-depth background in psychology, and her coaching competencies are evident in her approach. She supports her clients to gain perspective, challenge stuck mindsets and outdated behaviours, identify repeating patterns, live true to their values, and reset to move forward. She has a wealth of psychometric tools she can use with her clients, but also has a wide experience of business and leadership theories, models, and coaching tools at her disposal. Pheona has been working with teams for over 25 years and recently became certified by the ICF with their globally recognised credential: ACTC. Her focus is always on the quality of exchange between the team members as she seeks to accelerate that connection, challenge any fixed states and support the single entity and identity of the team. All in order for the team to optimise collective emotional intelligence and deliver the required business results. She has had many coaching recommendations over the years (see her LinkedIn profile) with teams coming back to her if they join new teams. Again, she is often working through word of mouth and personal recommendations.

Pheona is an expert on the credential pathway for coaches. She has successfully designed and delivered accredited coaching programmes, with her inspiring and entrepreneurial co-founder, that are triple accredited. A status rarely achieved. She also runs an online programme called ‘Mastering The Credential Pathway’ which supports coaches wishing to develop their coaching skills further to understand the ICF competency requirements and ensure their coaching aligns with these professional standards. She regularly runs groups and individual Mentor Coach programmes that are seeing coaches successfully gain their ACC and/or PCC credential or those who need to recredential. She knows what is required and is happy to share with you the secrets of success for ICF, EMCC, and AC.

Pheona is an accredited Supervisor with the EMCC and regularly runs supervision groups for coaches with an emphasis on group dynamics using a Gestalt lens. During these sessions, the coaches focus on their clients, are mindful of ethics and have the opportunity of learning from other coaches. She also has a strong practice of individual supervision which offers her supervisees the opportunity to slow down, practice presencing and awaken systemic awareness all with the aim of deepening and strengthening their coaching practice. She will use many creative tools in her supervision, which supervisees have found useful as they are able to use them with their clients. This Signature Model has been created as a result of the varied work we, at Sandown Business School have completed with leaders across different organisations, sectors and countries and recognising the changing needs of leaders.

Whilst each of these disciplines are powerful in their own right such as coaching, mentoring, wellbeing, people champion and confidant, on their own they didn’t quite fit the needs of the leaders we are working with. Recognising we are now living in a VUCA/BANI and TUNA world (how many other acronyms will there be?), the old style of leadership is no longer enough. With the emerging ‘new ways of working’ there are also ‘new ways of leading’ that need to be identified, adopted and embraced.

We have found our clients, with whom we are regularly working with as their Thought Partner (and for some this is now over 5 years of monthly support), wanted to add to this service. They asked us to focus on other topics, which did not quite fit the usual executive coaching conversation, but as they knew we were specialists in these additional areas, asked us if they could explore these areas as part of a separate programme.

So in effect, this programme was developed as a result of our clients’ requests. For some of our clients, this forms their next step, and for others this programme runs in parallel with their Thought Partnering programme.

So what is Leadership SuperVision? This programme builds on Thought Partnering but adds in the focus on neurowellness, culture champion, archetypal awareness and brand consciousness. Again, this is an unfiltered, supportive space for leaders to reflect on their professional challenges and successes. We are finding this programme to be hugely popular, especially amongst those recently promoted to senior roles in an organisation.
